I need to vent about these dang republicans

Guys I hope you don't mind and I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way, but I am so damn tired of the conservative trolls I keep running into online. I see them here on Democratic Underground all the time. I see them on facebook. We all know their motives, log on, say something stupid or insane, i.e, you liberals can't debate, or you aren't interested in the other side.

How the hell can I be interested in the other side when all I see from you is stupid comments my 4 year old nephew can type. If you gave me an intelligent response like, I am a conservative because I do not like a lot of rules getting in the way of me doing what I know I was meant to do but I do respect your view point as a liberal, I would be more inclined to want to have a conversation with you.

In my time online, I've run into maybe three conservatives who came at me like that and they are some of the most thoughtful people I have ever had the pleasure of engaging in a conversation with. These same folks have come to my defense when a troll calls me the n word, yes I have been called the n word, or when they call me the f word for gay people or tell me that I need to go back to Africa, yes I have had people tell me that to my face, now I get to tell them that um, I am part Native American now so I have every right to be here.

But day in and day out, I'm seeing nothing but hateful posts from conservative posters who feel that because they are white they have the right to own me as a slave. It's bad enough I have it because I'm black and I have it twice a bad because I'm gay but I'm just to the point right now and I mean this with all my heart, TAKE YOUR DAMN RACISM AND LEAVE AMERICA and take your buddies with you.

You are always telling people like me to leave and go back to Africa or some dang place, well now I'm turning the tables on you. You get your one million mailing list with all your racist and hate filled buddies who love to hide behind white sheets and go build an island or go to some remote location and build the little Bekki, bekki Stan, Stan, utopia you always dream about. Make it as libertarian as you like, kill each other like they did in the Hunger games. hate each other till your hearts contents. I for one am fed up with the way you treat people in this country. Can someone please tell me that I'm not alone in my views.

I'm damn angry and sick and tired of the hate online and I think we need to fight back.

If I read an article online I don't even bother to go to the comments section because I know what the "comments" will be.

The hatred in this country is overwhelming and it just keeps getting worse.

Just know that I, for one, am here for you. I don't know how we can fight these assholes, but fight we must!

3. I think part of it is online jerk syndrome, which afflicts Conservatives pretty bad

I've run into maybe one Conservative online that I thought wasn't an asshole (but I can't think of who that might be at the moment) - in real life though I have a couple conservative friends. We strongly disagree, and even angrily at times, but when you are face to face with a person it's harder to just dig in.

Online, though, you can be as big an asshole as you want to be. I've been succeptable to that at times. My boss is being a jerk, I feel like things are slipping out of control, so I log onto DU looking for a fight. It's stupid (and I apologize for those time's I've done it) - but the sad truth is that one can burn off one's aggression with little to no consequence online.
