The danger that people will start shooting each other is growing by the minute...

I lived through the riots in the large urban centers back in the 60's.

I was young but even I knew this was a direct threat to the stability of this country.

It all culminated with the kids getting shot in Mississippi and then Kent.

I am not prone to use hyperbolic language, but I think people will start shooting if this keep escalating.

The only thing that is keeping us civil right now is that people of like political views tend to live in the same place.

"The only thing that is keeping us civil right now is that people of like political views tend to live in the same place. "

The key part of the sentence is "tend to live in the same place."

All of my friends tend to be liberal and we are numerous, even here. However, we are way outnumbered.

I am surrounded by tea types and have yet to begin to fear for my life.

But it doesn't hurt to be prepared...

Besides what are people going to start shooting over?

Safety first.

Don't see it happening. Mississippi was domestic terrorism, even using DoD's definition. Kent State, I have read different accounts on the how and why. Violent crime is down. If we have a good jobs plan to rebuild the cities and end the WoD, that would bring it down even more.
