She was a "shining" example of the "both sides do it" problem - says "Obama must give Boner something to allow him to walk back off of the branch he is out on", etc. Scott Horseley kept trying to bring it back to where it really is - that the Dems have already given so much, that it is all of the right's making - Liasson kept insisting it was all about Obama now bending...
Made me want to vomit - then I remembered that she is often (always?) on Faux (which I never watch - no cable).
So I wondered what the president would do - and listening to the conference, was very pleased that he stood firm and laid it all out there. Was so proud of how he handled it.
Well worth taking a drive in the car, in the rain, on vacation, just to listen to it.
Of course, the big question is the end game - are the tea baggers as batshit crazy suicidal insane as they seem? I guess we don't have long to wait to see what happens....but the President/the Dems should not give a millimeter. This is the time to see if the crazies on the right, fueled in my view by hatred and racism, can be crushed and neutered once and for all.

(5,141 posts)The national NPR news programs (Morning Edition, All Things Considered) aren't worth a damn anymore. Thank god my local NPR affiliate has such great programming, else I'd never tune in.
