Frankly, I'm surprised that these businesses do not take a big hit. When you alienate at least 40 percent of the
population that doesn't like bigotry and demagoguery, it *should* affect profits.

4. Here's my thought on it

I don't buy from either place, but I never have either. I try to support local businesses that are putting out a great product or I make it myself if I can't afford what they're charging.

I suspect that most of the business to those places comes from people who share the yucky viewpoints or can't be bothered to pay attention to what those people are doing with the money they're getting through the business.

I remember during the chick incident that one of my religious friends said that we should allow them their freedom of speech and that it had nothing to do with the restaurants. I agreed with her that bigots are allowed to have their POVs, but when they fund groups that hurt other people with the profits from their businesses...they need to be boycotted.
