how to end the shutdown/debt ceiling crisis

if no agreement is reached by oct 16th announce the following

a 50% cut in defense spending...
a 50% cut in social security payments

a halt to all tax refunds for those making over 250k a year

all congressmen get locked in the house chamber. food will be delivered from the closest federal prision for them to eat
a couple of porta potties will be delivered for their use
until they raise the debt ceiling and reopen the government they are not allowed out of the house

if they leave they will have assumed to have resigned their seat

Maybe they can up defense cuts to maybe 70%. The Repubs would get upset, but how upset could they get? Upset enough to default? Been there. Why do we need so much defense anyway? Everyone is afraid to cut defense because if we got attacked it wouldn't look good on Dems. What are Repubs going to do that they are not trying to do anyway? Default the Gov?

DoD spending has been strategically imbedded into our economy such that contractors for even the most obsolete and unwanted expensive equipment and arms are distributed to so many districts that the critters in the House and Senate can't let them go. That's why we saw that article, yesterday, about all those fighter jets going to the boneyard directly from the assembly line. Among other testicle-clamp features in our economic clusterphuck, cloistered paradigm.

the decision in what to cut is not up to the House and Senate. It's all up to the president.

You wanna end this?

Lock Boner in a room with a fifth of Jack Daniels in a glass case and only let him drink once he votes for the clean CR. After ten minutes, his shakes will get the best of him.

and only unlocked when a clean CR is offered with several concessions from the Republicans side. Including massive resignations from several Tea Party assholes after they are thrown into the mental hospital for a mandatory 5 year sentence.

A lot of us depend on it.

I do.

I would wholeheartedly support a massive cut to the DoD/MIC complex to 95% though. That 5% is more than enough anyway.
