An open letter to Speaker John Boehner

Dear Speaker Boehner,

You Sir, are in serious trouble. And you need to get out of trouble, save yourself and save the Nation and in the process, maybe even become “the Guy who saved the Republican Party”. At this time you seem to be little more than an extortionist. And nobody, except the brain-dead viewers of Fox News, likes an extortionist. Not only that, but the future looks bleak. I don’t think you can continue to rely on gerrymandering and voter suppression to stay in office. No, I think you will need to demand the cancellation of the 2014 elections at the current pace.

How did we get to this sorry state of affairs? Fairly simple I should say. You’ve allowed the Teabagger contingent in your party way too much influence. You simply cannot allow this to continue. This country cannot function when run by the lunatic fringe.

Just yesterday however, I saw a glimmer of hope to extricate yourself from your terrible position. It came in the form of Tim Heulskamp on CNBC. Now CNBC has historically been fairly supportive of the Republican Party. They even allow airtime to the poster boy of Operation Yellow Elephant, Ben Ferguson. Yesterday however was special. Mr. Heulskamp showed himself to be so profoundly stupid as to evoke a stunned silence among the commentators who were interviewing him. He showed the viewers that the fate of the Nation was in the hands of dangerous idiots like him. And it’s a scary prospect. It’s really astonishing how somebody that stupid can become a Member of Congress and it doesn’t say much for the morons who put him there.

As if that were not enough, that prize goof Michelle Bachmann came out to say that President Obama supports Al Qaeda. Does anybody out there seriously think she will ever say something that isn’t utterly ridiculous?

This has to be a golden opportunity to divest yourself and the Republican Party from these people. I know there are a majority of reasonable Republicans in Congress who would like nothing better than redemption from what they have been dragged into by these wackos. I understand there are only about 40 of these dimwits and they need you more than you need them. Untie these people, cast them adrift. Save yourself. These people are nothing more than vandals. Even Charles Krauthammer calls them the “Suicide Caucus”. I do not think this fear of being “primaried” by the Tea Party is fully warranted. Sure, there are a lot of idiots in America, but not that many. I suspect there are loads of Republican and Independent voters aching to vote for somebody who is not looking to unwittingly destroy their country.

It’s time to stand up for what’s right. More and more Americans are figuring out that Fox News’ job is to make them look like idiots. Fewer and fewer are listening to right-wing hate radio and the insane rants of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck are reaching fewer ears.

Please put an end to this foolishness. This really cannot go on. It’s not funny anymore.

Put down the merlot and smell the scotch. You are so over your head and the onus is on you. Step up, be a man, grow a pair. BRing up the vote or you will die on the vine like Bob Livingston. Remember Bob? He was all set to be Speaker. HE would have been a good Speaker too. He played well with others. Until he supported the loons in your party and continued to impeach Bill Clinton. Now the irony of this or the hypocrisy of this is he knew he was cheating on Bonnie when he got all bent out of shape on The PResident. And what happened to Bob? HE never was Speaker was he? No, because forces beyond his control pointed out his affairs... The same will happen with you. If the photos don't get you Bob, the drones just might.
