For those arguing "Shutdown = sedition"

There is nothing that says spending bills have to be omnibus. Separate spending bills are well within the purview of congress. If the NIH, FBI, DoD, NPS, EPA etc each receive their own public vote for funding then the democratic process is restored. Wouldn't that alleviate this presumed offense?



NOTE -- If you are NOT one of the people yelling "Treason! Sedition! I have a Thesaurus and I'm not scared to use it!" and prefer to hold-out for an omnibus bill as opposed to separate stop gap bills then this post does NOT apply to you. I is perfectly acceptable to hold out for favorable terms and there is no offense in sticking to your guns.
