Bring it to a Vote!

Boehner says there aren't enough votes to pass a clean CR bill in the House.

Everyone else says there are.

If Boehner is telling the truth, what is he afraid of? In fact by bringing a clean CR to a vote in the House and have it voted down, he would prove his point and strengthen his position. Therefore, he SHOULD bring it to a vote. Unless he's lying.

I think we should all hit Boehner and our local House Reps with one simple message:

BRING IT TO A VOTE!

John Boehner's Contact Info:

As an "issue", I chose "ETHICS".

Here is what I wrote, trying to sound like a "concerned citizen" (rather than what I REALLY wanted to say!)

You have stated repeatedly that there are not enough votes to pass a "clean" CR bill. BO has dared you to prove it by bringing a clean CR bill to the floor for a vote. You should do it. If you don't, everyone will paint you as a liar.

If the bill fails, you will be vindicated. You win.
If the bill passes, you are merely following the Will of the People. You win.
If you do not allow a vote, then you are responsible for the pall cast over the entire Republican Party. You lose and your entire party loses - indefinitely.

So, if you accept Obama's challenge to "bring it to a vote", it's a Win-Win. If you do not accept the challenge - it's a lose all for you and the party that you represent.

I wanted to convince him to BRING IT TO A VOTE. I can be sneaky when I want to be!
