Do I believe in big or small government?

I believe in government of the people, by the people and for the people. The rich and the poor. The white, black, brown and every other color. The male and the female. The straight and the gay. The native and the immigrant. The employed and the unemployed. The young and the old. The able and the disabled. The Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist and every other possible belief, faith and conviction. All of the people. All 300 million of us.
I believe in a representative, democratic government. Anyone who tries to weaken, dis-empower or shut down our democratic government of, by and for the people is, in my mind, as Un-American and unpatriotic as a person can be.
