Anyone read the Power Elite by C. Wright Mills?
Reading articles today about how the Koch's are bankrolling the tearethugs I remembered this book I read in college. I kept it and was skimming it today and found this statement. "There is something demonic about these lords of creation; it is not merely rhetoric to call them robber barons".
These Koch's are willing to drive our economy into a ditch and they don't care what harm it causes to the American people. They are demonic. C Wright Mills wrote this book in 1956 amazing how things haven't Changed.
I am seriously considering reading this book again in my more mature age as i read it quickly in my college years and now would appreciate more. Then the reading the book was because I wanted a good grade in my social science class. I also had to read theory of a leisure class by Thorstein Veblen. That one tripped me up because I constantly had to look up words in the dictionary!
