Slate's Dave Weigel spots this video of Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas) telling a heckler outside the World War II Memorial last week that Republicans wouldn't bring a so-called "clean" continuing resolution to the House floor to reopen the government.
His reasoning?

"Look. We're not French. We don't surrender," Sessions said.

Sessions' comment came last week, as controversy built up over the closure of the World War II Memorial in Washington, when it became shrouded in a political back-and-forth among Republicans, Democrats, and the Obama administration.

7. A apologize to people that live in red states that elect idiots like Sessions.

I am ready to give red states their won country. Blue states like mine can form their own country. I am ok if our blue nation take on ALL existing debt, we would pay if off quickly without by not having to deal with politicians from red states. Even before the debt is paid off, our growth in the new blue nation would be massive, unemployment non-existent, health care for all a reality, absolute rights for everyone as long as they obeyed fairly crafted laws. We would agree to take in people that don't want to live in a red nation and pay for people who don't want to live in blue nation to move to red nation or leave to some other country.
