Truckers for the Constitution' Plan to Slow D.C. Beltway, Arrest Congressmen.

Police must detain 'accessories' to 'treason' or truckers will, organizer says

By STEVEN NELSON

http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2013/10/07/truckers-for-the-constitution-plan-to-slow-dc-beltway-arrest-congressmen

(Snippy snip)
Zeeda Andrews, a former country music singer helping promote the protest, said last week participants would present demands to congressmen – including the impeachment of President Barack Obama – and give the congressmen an opportunity to agree to the demands in exchange for canceling the ride.

Conlon and Andrews say Obama committed "treason" by allegedly funneling weapons to al-Qaida-linked rebels in Syria. Members of Congress who support arming Syrian rebels, Conlon said, are accessories to the alleged crime. He identified House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., as politicians he will seek to arrest for alleged acts against the Constitution.

Traffic on the 495 experienced some minor delays due to a convoy of semis. The convoy was made up of 3 independent trucking companies, 2 U-Hauls, and a duallie hauling a horse trailer.

Your shit will get fucked up by the DC PD if you try.

If you get off the freeway and onto any of the prohibited surface streets without a valid reason while operating a commercial vehicle you will end up being a guest of a federal facility for a while until it gets sorted out.

It is a Federal crime to do so, and those guys do not play around one bit. They see a big truck, you see blue lights.

to further their own agenda and line their pockets.

One is a wannabe right-wing blogger radio talk hate spewer who is also a bigoted racist, the other a failed wannabe country singer.

I have my own operating authority as a common carrier. I truck for a living.

These two morons went on Kevin Rutherford's "Let's Truck" show on SiriusXM on Saturday afternoon. Kevin is a trucking business consultant who owned and ran a small fleet, is a financial adviser, and is a guy who leans Libertarian and has his own quarrel with the government.

However....

Even he saw through these two and their bullshit, and tore them a new ass, live on the air.

The type of trucker supporting these two opportunists are those running a failing business model, are angry that they are losing money, and are looking for someone else to blame for their own failings.

Hence, Obama is the reason they can't make money in the industry. Oy. Pure demagoguery.

These two con artists have no clue about trucking, or the challenges we face every day in order to make a living, and Kevin Rutherford hammered them on it.

The drivers calling in and who were posting live on his "Let's Truck" website and who are also running a profitable business all said they want nothing to do with those two clowns.

OOIDA as well as the ATA has called on truckers to avoid this as it will not turn out well for those who participate.

(ahhhh....memories......)

Back in the day, when I was driving this;

I preferred to wash it myself and did scores of times.

I got pulled in for an inspection at a scale one time, and after the guy came up out of the trench he said "I'd be happy to inspect this truck for you any time! Cleanest underside I've ever seen."

Of course, driving that rig was a "drive it, park it, clean it" kind of gig for me. We spent the entire month of May at the Speedway, which meant I had plenty of time. When I rolled out of there, the damned thing was as clean or cleaner than when it rolled off the assembly line. Not only would I clean the grime off the diffs and inside the frame rails, I would polish those areas too.

I used to spend at least half a day doing under the hood when we got to a venue;

I had little engraved signs made that had magnetic strips on their backs so I could attach them to the frame that read "Please do not touch. Hours of effort can be spoiled in seconds"

Been getting trucks washed by Blue Beacon since the late 80's though. I'm never satisfied, but they do a good enough job for the time they take. Getting them to do a good and thorough job on an open rack car hauler is like pulling teeth, however. Too many nooks and crannies.

done much before the snow flies. Running reefer, this time of the year is big money time.

Did it back in June when I took a week off, had her looking right, but the last week I took off in September I was too busy doing stuff around the house to get to the truck.

When I'm in town on Sundays, the owner of the business a buddy of mine works for lets me park behind their warehouse, huge place, lots of parking, nice industrial park, nobody wandering around, instead of at the shop where I lease space and have another trailer parked.

The other place is 23 miles away, so if I'm just in for an overnight it's easier just to park a mile and a half from the house at my buddy's workplace than a half-hour away, and catch a ride from one of my kids or a buddy.

His boss bought a nice pressure washer/steam cleaner, they have all the supplies, and when we have the time we wash his ride, then I get the same treatment. Much more thorough than the Beacon, except it takes forever to rinse it right, just not enough water flow. Dem damn spots...

I give the boss and his wife a nice little gift every Christmas.

My buddy drives daycab for them, he gets to drive tractor and trailer into the building through the roll-up door, turn around and park inside overnight after getting a nice clean-up.

That Detroit would look real good in a glider, the pre-EGR's are getting snapped up by Fitzgerald and that other guy in Corvallis, I think it is.

By all means truckers, go for it! Hahahahahahaha!

Oh and, whichever truckers take part in this better actually own their own trucks, because I can't see their bosses being too happy about their property being used in a crime, or the fact that these truckers will be quite late delivering their payloads, or the huge fines they will have to pay after these huge vehicles get impounded, or the reimbursement costs for removing them from the highway.

Company drivers will get fired if they participate. Every place a company driver goes to has to be approved by the company. You can't just take off and drive somewhere. Somebody has to pay for the fuel for that trip. Since most companies have satellite tracking of the trucks, they know where you are.

If an Owner/Operator decides to go there, then he won't be hauling freight and making money. Instead he will be burning up fuel to drive there. Big rigs, depending upon design, get from 4 mpg to 7mpg average, one gallon per hour if you are idling the engine. So it would be expensive to drive empty for a few hundred miles to demonstrate in DC. Lost income plus trip expenses.

Arrest congresspersons? LOL. That is the definition of sedition, real genuine sedition. With the addition to all the other laws they would break in this stupid stunt, they could get some serious prison time.

What a bunch of idiots.
