XKCD gets political today

http://xkcd.com/1274/

Does anything more need to be said?

The beginning of the US Fiscal Year begins October 1st, and it has for decades or centuries. There is no real excuse for not having all of the budgets done in plenty of time to meet this deadline.

If it's not done, especially in the House, then it's either the fault of the Speaker (selected by the majority party; in this case Boehner) or the fault of the majority party itself. There is no filibuster in the House.

This rests squarely on the House Republicans. They've been sworn in since early January. They've had enough time to both pass the budget bills AND carry a baby to term.

It's that simple.
