We've already given away the kitchen sink. Obama should throw ZERO more concessions to the Thugs. That proverbial line in the sand has been drawn and there's no going over it. If we default because of Thug intransigence, then Thugs will take the political hits. Yeah, it will be hard, but the hostage takers must learn once and for all that they are NOT getting away with extortion.

1. In a just world you would be correct

However going by past actions, I fully expect the Democrats to buckle under once more. They may wait until after the Government is reopened and the fear of Debt Limit resolved but a backroom deal will be reached and then we will be able to look forward to this form of hostage taking for as far as the eye can see. Why would they change a winning strategy?

2. I'm thinking (hoping) that Obama has learned.

He gave away everything before the negotiations even began, on one issue after another. Maybe now he and his advisers are more knowledgeable about the hostage takers.
