Limbaugh lost 6 major advertisers and is danger of being pulled.
Wow, there may be a god after all.

I have no idea how reliable this is, but I like the way it's going!

rw assholes haven't a clue what the first amendment really applies to. As well, most right wing assholes, even with their handy dandy little pocket constitutions all teabag stained and everything have no idea what most of it means.

Perhaps you can explain it to us oh great constitutional scholar?

I hope Limbaugh gets replaced with a New Age music station. I truly do. I can just imagine all those who have spent years literally drunk on hate unexpectedly bathed in a soothing, warm, loving, relaxing and peaceful sound. Time for the healing to begin

As long as he has ratings among middle aged to old white men who listen to the radio there will be advertisers coming forward to take their place. A guy like that sticks around until he loses his audience. Although he has a "huge" radio audience, it's still a small niche compared to the population of the country (it's also really old. I think the average age of his listeners is 65). That small niche is as nutty as he is so they're either going to agree with him or, as republicans so easily do, simply ignore anything their side does that is bad. For those people to turn on him, well I'll believe it when I see it.

But Beck's show lost almost every sponser and was losing money for quite a while before he got pulled. And that was from tv not radio. I think we are going to have a very long battle before we can put this horse's ass, Limbaugh, to bed. But to be sure, this epic battle has begun and is off to a great start.

Limbaugh's financiers will keep him on the air even if they have to buy the airtime outright. That's how his TV show was done in the early 90's.

I think Rush's airtime performance is only casually linked to advertising revenue. Does anyone get paid $50MM a year to sell flowers, mattresses, and accounting software? No, I think he's paid tthe big bucks to broadcast misinformation and lies to his hardcore fans. And count on these listeners to spread the word from there. No one gets paid this kind of money to sell products or to tell the truth. But as a propagandist, there are monied interests who see his salary as a small price to keep people voting against their best interests.

I believe he gets paid that amount of money to brainwash the gullible masses to fight for the monied interests over their own.

Bonus: He expertly divides the masses which obviously also serves the elite's interests (i.e. Jay Gould's famous line: "I can hire one-half of the working class to kill the other half.&quot

"The right really, really hate us with an irrational hate. They really should reflect on that."

Problem is...the typical Rush listener/conservative is incapable of self-reflection. If they had the capability, they'd be insulted by the logic of the message.

It's interesting to see the way the 2 sides anointed communication broadcasters message their talking points. Our side will spend a lot of time on policy and criticism of the opposing political leadership. It's done in way to expose the fundamental hypocrisies of their agenda or to refute the policies on technical grounds (budget allocation priorities/tax liabilities, etc). Their broadcasters don't really try to debate or defend the agenda/policies - it's all about demonizing people - leadership, Democrats/liberals/progressives in general, but even individuals when they dare to challenge the political message of Republicans in Congress - individuals like Ms. Fluke. There is precious little debate about what we say....it's all about condemning us for being traitors, satan, sluts, etc for not agreeing with their political/social views.

When Rush says the word "liberal", his audience starts unconsciously salivating their hatred- that's good programming/conditioning right there...

For instance, is it legal to flat-out buy the public airwaves? Let's ask the FCC.

is to say things that incite protests from minorities, women and the LGBT community and stir up anger in liberals as a whole. I don't see how he cannot step in it again. And with this kind of history building up he is bound to be pulled. People have had it with hate radio. More hate radio after people have already had enough is just asking for Rush to be eventually pulled.
