Obama Approval Jumps 5 Points
A new Fox News poll finds that President Obama's overall job rating has improved 5 percentage points over last month: 45% approve now, up from 40% in September.
"That comes mainly from an increase in approval among his party faithful. Some 84% of Democrats approve of Obama's performance now, up from a record-low 69% last month during the situation with Syria."

(3,855 posts)The Repukes are giving him a chance to orate and use that bully pulpit to show them what he is really made of. This whole thing is blowing up in their stupid faces. Every time President Obama gets to make a speech and show his strong backbone his poll numbers will rise. Every speech he makes is getting extensive coverage now. People are going to start listening to him more and more and remembering why we voted him into office, twice. This is what a true leader looks like.

Also reminds me of the old Will Rogers quote, "I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Democrat."

(8,759 posts)There was this vibe, I didn't get it, but I saw it, that W was standing up to terrorism's "bullies" What's amazing is he rode that shit into the ground. I'm still tripping over that.
Obama, on the other hand, doesn't play the tough guy card naturally. He's got to get really pissed off before you see the fangs. Its almost as if he's too patient and willing to go along. But whenever he stands up, straight and strong America loves him. You'd think the White House would have figured that out by now.

DNC needs to get organized in these Tea-hadist counties and register democrats and run GOTV programs. Or in surrounding counties until they are an island.

Approve 84% - D 10% - R 32% - I
Disapprove 11% - D 85% - R 60% - I
I could believe him being down among independents, but not 60% disapproval. That seems pretty wild. I guess the 10% Republican is believable enough.
Page 15 also shows the party breakdown for the polling sample, 39 Dem, 37 Rep, 20 Indie. I think that's off as well. Aren't indies more in the 30s somewhere too?
