An angry 17-year-old male student claims he felt suicidal after being booted out of high school for 'being gay and wearing high heels'.

Asante Cotman, of Charles City County, Virginia, was allegedly told to remove his heels because he was disrupting lessons at Charles City High.

The teen claimed he was not bothering anyone but the school principal suspended him for three days and allegedly told him not to come back.

rational was the rivets on the back pocket ruined the wooden desk seats. I asked why boys could wear jeans then, they said they were different, I then proceeded to inform them that I was wearing boys jeans (I wore boys jeans until my first pregnancy). I was still suspended and told I could only wear womens "dress" pants and then only when it was below freezing outside. Needless to say I gladly took the suspension and went shopping for MORE JEANS!!!!

they changed the dress code so that no jeans were allowed at all. They announced this in the morning and at lunch time, everyone was discussing it and no one went back to class that afternoon.

The next day, every one came to school in jeans. The principal gave in and allowed jeans from then on. That was in 1959!!!

That makes me feel proud (and old.)
