Small plane lands on San Jose expressway; NTSB investigation to be delayed

Source: San Jose Mercury News

A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Capitol Expressway in the middle of the Thursday morning commute -- about a half mile from the local airport where it's housed -- but there were no reported injuries or damage, authorities said.

ETA: I guess the plane has been moved. Maybe because it wasn't actually a crash they can do that? Because normally anyone on the plane cannot even leave the scene, let alone the plane, until NTSB shows up (unless an ambulance takes them away).

I know a bit about this because my landlord's wife told me about the time several years ago when a light aircraft crashed into the tree in their front yard (when she was standing at the kitchen sink looking out the window, lol). Nobody was hurt, but they had to stay put (even the 3 crying children) until the on-site investigation was over.
