This shutdown will not end and there will be default because that is what the Teabaggers want. If they default virtually all of our taxes will go to interest because interest rates on the debt will just explode. And there really won't be any money for anything. OUr rate now is around 3% or less. It could double or triple if we do not pay the bills. And borrowers would run the other way on our bonds.

That is what the Grover Norquist crowd want and desire. If you think they are bluffing think again.

Will likely lose a lot of value, which means things that are bought on the world market, like oil, will go way up in price.

$4 a gallon gas is a drag on our economy. $8 a gallon gas would cause another recession I think.

Although, there is global warming to think about. We best move away from fossil fuels yesterday.
