He speaks continually during a week at events across the country - at businesses, schools, and organizations, and says the things that people demand that he say. Yet few M$M outlets will show it and maybe by the grace of God, CSPAN may re-air it overnight at 2 am after they are done with AEI, and people still insist that he's not getting out there and fighting.

It's pure bullshit denial.

then...with sound explanation of the Health Care law. Where to go, what to do, examples of people it has already helped, number, etc. He needs a long, drawn out Bully Pulpit at least equal to the Cruz Carnival.

Start with Kathleen Sibileous, maybe let her set it up...I don't care, but this needs to go, the conversation is the Cruz marathon and the Fox News drumbeat with snippets of Democratic and PBO...here and there.

anything but the hype...the struggle. Just some old fashioned 'splainin'. It's complex, controversial and the less information the average person has, the more they can be whipped up by those who have a lot to gain by confusing people.

He gave in on the sequester last time which led the Republicans to consider this a productive technique.

By putting pressure on Obama over the debt limit the GOP was able to get a concession from Obama they could never have achieved any other means so of course we are seeing the same technique being used again.

The only way to stop this is to do what he's doing now but I still wonder what will happen over the debt limit this time.

Will the Boening jerks decide that the shutdown didn't work so they will threaten do destroy the whole economy instead?
It worked the last time.

He should have held firm to his resolve not to negotiate last time, then we might not be in this mess today.

Something you don't seem to understand yet is in 2011 it was very important he put himself in a position to win reelection so he could spend 4 years implementing Obamacare among other things.

Sequestration wasn't supposed to happen. The gang of eight or ten or Supercommitte or whatever was SUPPOSED to work out compromise with sequestration hanging over their heads.

Quit blaming Obama for the GOP crazy. Not very productive.

He did need to position himself to win and agreeing to the sequester prevented a disaster like we have now from tainting his presidential election.

But I am glad he's holding strong now.
The only way to stop this from re-occuring is to suffer the consequences now and hope that the damage to the GOP will prevent them from trying this kind of thing again.

I would have to be on meds to deal with those clowns. Obama, whatever his faults has to be the most emotionally centered person to occupy the Oval Office in decades. Last night on teevee some Teabagger activist was saying (proudly) "Our representatives are just doing what we sent to Washington for-to shrink government." What would their reply be if we said "That's like someone becoming a doctor because they don't believe in healing the sick."
