Why am I seeing all of these Facebook posts (really just reposts of stupid graphics) that say something like, "Congress shouldn't be exempt from Obamacare!"
What in the bloody hell are these nuts going on about?
Please - my DU brethren - explain their thinking to me. I'm assuming this is coming from Fox and Friends.

(3,249 posts)Members of Congress and their staffs were covered under the same FEHB program as all other federal govt employees. It is not single payer. There are hundred of different companies and plans involved.
But, the ACA had specific language that forced members of Congress and their staffs onto the exchanges. So, no, they are not exempt. There was an argument that the govt may or may not separately specially subsidize their premiums.
There have been many threads on this.
