UNITY! (Oh the irony)

Did I say irony? I meant insanity. 'Cuz irony would be one thing being said while the opposite is intended and it would have humorous undertones. Insanity is just a humorless disconnect from reality.

One side claims the other side is too accommodationist. The other side complains their accusers are too purist. And then the fight started.

Then both sides complain over the lack of unity.

Here's a novel approach -- you be you and I'll be me. You don't know what's going on inside my head any more than I know what's going on inside yours; and even if we could we have no right to be there. You have more of a right to be you than I have a right to demand things of you and vice versa. If some thing is so important to me, it's incumbent upon me to convince you, it's nobody's fault if you don't believe me (though you reserve the right to reject me if I'm an ass about it). Moreover, when I start yelling at you it naturally makes you start to question my motives. To then have I tell you the sole motivation for all the abuse heaped upon has been for -- your own good?!?!?! -- it makes it all that much harder to sell.

The first step to "unity" is u.
