Message From The MasterNemesis

I realize that I can say some very controversial and unpleasant things and have had some things hidden. Here is why I get so fired up.

I have said this before. I started working for DOL in 1974 in unemployment insurance at Colorado DOL. I worked all sorts of employment programs including welfare to work for 6 years, general population and at a homeless shelter half time for 4 years.
And I interview thousands of hurt and tortured souls during my career. I have watched the conservatives and GOP viciously do all they could to make workers I interviewed more miserable and fearful.

The GOP has 100% of the time passed or proposed legislation to make jobs less paying and less secure. And they have done all they could to demean and subjugate women, starve children, assault the vulnerable whether they be elderly, sick, disabled, or minorities.

In 1980 when Ronald Reagan took office it became very clear what he was up to and that rich people had taken over. Reagan committed real treason by bargaining with the Iranians. Nixon did the same thing with the North Vietnamese to win. Back to the point. Reagan said we would have a "service economy". From my position I knew right away we would have a low wage economy with no future for workers period.

33 years later I have watched this debacle evolve. Every election people made wrong choices and were steered in wrong directions. This shutdown in its own way has been planned all along by the GOP. It is only now that they and their allies have been able to arrange events that gives them the ability to end this democracy. And that is what they intend to do.

Karl Rove's one party dictatorship is still on their agenda. This shut down is part of their final assault on the Constitution. In their mind rigging elections, Citizens United, voter suppression, taking over the media by moguls, and everything has been a well laid plan from my point of view.

I have followed and studied them since Reagan and spent thousands of hours reading articles and being on the net trolling for information. I never could understand how the GOP agenda kept creeping forward.

The problem is that most voters are really not aware of the total situation. A lot of us are. But there are many voters who believe in the GOP kool aid.

I kept hoping for all these years that the country would really wake up and snuff this party. Now I really do not know what is going to happen. I look at this crisis they are creating to be as dangerous as the country has ever faced.

All I know is if the public really really fully understood what is being done they would right now be protesting and storming GOP offices telling the GOP fund this government or else. What they are doing will eliminate the future even for their supporters.

I have had to deal with some really truly crazy and psychopathic people in my job and I can guarantee we are facing a bunch of politicians on the GOP side who are as dangerous as Ted Bundy.

Finally, I wrote this message because I realize there are many on this site who probably understand the situation the way I do. I really do not know what we can to do stop or intimidate these people. I am also angry that they believe they will get away with their crap.

I mostly voted for Democrats, but wasn't paying much attention until after 9/11. That scared me witless and I knew I needed to find out the truth about was really going on in the world. So I read everything I could, researched a lot and joined DU in 2003. That's been the best part of my education, people here are so plugged in. And knowing what I know now, I''m shocked and horrified. I won't even vote for a Republican for the Library Board now.

and trust me, you weren't alone in seeing any of this. I've taken care of people who worked two jobs and were living in camper shells on blocks. And things have gotten worse and worse the longer conservative policies have been put in place and upheld by both parties.

To say I despise these people is to diminish what I feel.

I would say they are like the brat who is losing this a board game and throws it up the air and stomps off.

But their game is much worse and and older one. They are a plague.

Well said. Well done. One of the best perspectives of the stealth damage done to this country. I commend you.

Who form the vast majority of the Republican delegates. They think evolution, climate science, and the Big Bang are an utter scam. Jesus is all they know. There are many examples in Congress, too many.

The problem is, the Republican Congressional leadership hasn't figured out how to handle these folks. They're all over the place. Then, there's the tea party, really just a kind of libertarian, racist branch of the religious branch of the Republicans. Then, there's supposed moderates, and the so-called rogues. What about them?

I don't know what I'd do if I were a committed and ethical Republican. I think suicide might be an arguably rational option.

So what the fuck holds them together?

Enquiring minds want to know.

7. I think the fact that PBO won twice in a row is a good sign

This government shutdown fiasco is only going to hurt them. If the USA goes default on our obligations on the 17th, that will hurt them if the Democratic Party can message it effectively. To be clear, I do NOT want a default whatsoever. It would be a disaster. However, IF....it happens, I have confidence that PBO and the Democratic Party can get the truth out.

If Romney had won, I would feel much more gloomy. Granted, there is much improvement to be seen, but I'm doing my best to stay optimistic and look at what positive there is. It took 33 years or so to get to this point, and I'm sure it will take that many to regain a more liberal policy stance overall.

tl;dr= doing my best to be optimistic and support the Democratic Party and PBO.

I started seeing this with the resignation of nixon. Shortly after that, one of the think tanks. IIRC the Heritage Foundation, decided that in order for them to get their message out, which btw is what you're saying, is to own the press and the republicons started in earnest with that in buying up all the print and airwaves news organizations as fast as they possibly could.

The link is not to what I allude to when I say they decided what they needed to do to get their message out, rather it is to their message, the issues dear to them.

9. Finally we know who the real enemies are. Now what are we going to do about it? I thought

that it was part of the oath of the President? To defend the Constitution "against ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC"

Oath of Office

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

Make no mistake they are DOMESTIC US House Republicans all-white Congressmen. They always swore the the South would rise again.
they just needed the MONEY supplied by the 1% and the media.

The 1% owned media is complicit in this and ALL the Chuck Todds who work for them, by calling this shutdown "negotiations".
it takes two sides asking for something to negotiate.

The repukes are demanding a law be nullified. If the President caves next will be 'roe v wade' nullified. The voting rights are pretty much down the tube.
