(81,304 posts)People who'd lost everything, clinging to their dog or their cat - it was all they had left but it was just that little bit of comfort that became all-important. Animals. So CRITICALLY important for the morale, the heart, the overall well-being. Makes me all teary-eyed to see photos like this.
