Ryan's admitting that GOP will also use the debt ceiling to extract even more concessions and their willingness to push the US over a cliff financially should have us all outraged. The disaster they would produce will effect GOP voters too. And based on what economists, business leaders and experts are saying the damage could last decades.
Default will result in a rising of the interest rate that will possibly rob the country of the ability to even fund the military. The GOP is playing with fire and gasoline that will create a world wide economic conflagration and not just here. The public should be hounding these people to stop this complete madness.
We are already paying billions in interest and default could explode that bill to the point it takes all our tax money. We should be more than negotiating we should be demanding the relent. We should be hounding the GOP relentlessly by calling, emailing and protesting.
Everything I hear and see from them is that they are going double down and double down. And they act like they will go beyond the brink unless they get their way. ACA repeal will not be their only demand.
