The GOP is not the only problem. The voters who put these people are also the ones who want to deny 30 million Americans to health care.

(2,307 posts)I have heard such BS by just standing in lines at stores. Obama gets blamed for everything bad and is given credit for nothing good. I am waiting to hear he offered EVE the apple in the Garden of Eden.

(21,056 posts)if you take away all the gov't programs that effect their lives, they'd be a mix of people who were screaming at the gov't, or those types that really aggravate me, the ones who say, "oh well, the rich people can't be bothered to take care of us", while they head back to their shanty houses and suffer diseases and poor education, etc...

(23,664 posts)Anything's possible I guess, but I don't think ACA is going anywhere for awhile.
And the more people who sign up for it the more entrenched it will become. Insurance companies, medical practitioners, drug manufacturers, will all make money from it and become a constituency.
And when the $ people realize the thing is a cash cow they will pull the rug out from any teabagger who tries to kill it.
Sure they can elect a republican president in 2016 and take over both houses of congress to boot. But by that time the program will have built up such momentum they will repeal it at their own peril.
They had their chance.
