The Tea Party will get Limbaugh, Fox, and the name "Republican Party"
The GOP establishment will get a new home -- in our DLC wing, where they'll be welcomes with open arms.
Next up: our civil war.

Unfortunately, the victim is so codependent that she won't press charges and the asshole will end up running the show. The divorce is still a couple years away.

They've seen what happens when a third-party forms and runs candidates: neither the main faction nor the splinter group wins. They want to keep it together in order to amalgamate their votes, figuring it is the only way to defeat the Democratic Party. So, no, I don't think the grand schism is likely to happen.
