(34,456 posts)Bet they're wrong.
Many women send flowers to their mothers, daughters, sisters, friends--and husbands. And many men are disgusted by sexism.

(34,456 posts)Along the lines of "we advertise on many programs where views don't necessarily reflect ours" etc.
I replied to say I would not again order from them.
I hope other former and prospective customers will too.

I think if enough of us do it, they will change their actions.

(2,286 posts)With so many defecting, it is REALLY bad PR for any company that remains. Actually, mentioning others who have left might be a good point to emphasize, noting that remaining makes it seem the company is endorsing the comments. Maybe a movement for women to refuse delivery from Proflowers.

(81,297 posts)BEST THREAD ON DU!!!
I've already shared it on five other Facebook pages besides just my own. I strongly suggest everyone else share this as widely as possible. From the perspective of a former radio insider and it's Absolute Solid Gold-Pressed Latinum! As a former radio person myself, I couldn't agree more! 'Cause I've seen it work with my own eyes.

(5,477 posts)...is sending nonspecific autoreplies to Limbaugh questions. The gist is that they have a policy not to advertise with political shows. Either this is a very new policy or they have some weaselly way of considering him just an entertainer. I asked for clarification, but have received none.
Anybody gotten anything clearer from them? I'm really not happy with the answer I got. You can see their response by emailing investor.relations@autozone.com and mentioning Limbaugh.
On edit: Autozone has been advertising with Limbaugh for a very long time, and has been unshakable in the face of other Rush-related controversies. If we can get them to commit to dropping him, it will have been a real coup.
