"I'm not gonna negotiate!"

That is the quote that John Boehner attributed to President Barack Obama. Now, I am not inclined to call folks a liar. But...

The President's words were taken out of context...badly. The President has never refused to negotiate with the Congress on issues other than the ACA and the debt limit vote.

What he has publicly stated is that he "will not negotiate" Obamacare or the debt limit. That is the responsibility of Congress to deal with revenue questions like the "debt limit". The President's responsibility is to see that the laws are adhered to.

Now whether or not Mr Boehner lied intentionally is another question?

to mock him for saying something he never said, "inventing" the internet... whereas he did take the initiative and play a leading role in congress for its formation. So intentionally distorting and lying is part of their game plan.
