Piecemeal Funding Is A Ploy To Shut Down Agencies You Do Not Like

The Cruz funding plan is a ploy to shut down all domestic programs including Medicare, Social Security, Labor Dept, EPA and other agencies they do not like.

They will only fund the Department Of Defense, FBI, CIA, Homeland Security. Congress and nothing else. If the Dems compromise on this issue it will set the stage for the libertarian dream.

That is what this new initiative is all about. They will only fund money for what gets them vote from GOPPERS. They will not fund anything that benefits Democrats, minorities, poor people, etc.

They are playing politics with this proposal because the gambit is that if the Dems refuse they can attack them for being anti veteran, anti American etc.

A complete unknown quantity too.

This is going to be bad. Damn he is just going to pull on the TP strings to show his control.

I'm beginning to think he has a personality disorder. Dangerous.

Fuck them. No piecemeal bills: a CR as passed by the Senate and that's it. Fuck or walk. That should be Reid's message.

8. All You Have To Do Is Look At Their Present Proposal And Their Plan Is Really Clear.

What is not so obvious is that they had a budget that wanted to more severely cut funding for almost all domestic programs and increase DOD funding while giving more tax breaks to the rich. None of the media is talking about what they would add on to the latest demand.

They added the "conscience clause" saying that public entities including private business can prohibit birth control coverage in their health plan. And I believe Ryan was proposing making abortion illegal at the federal level.

If they can get the Dems to compromise on piecemeal funding they can refuse to fund even the agencies that run Social Security And Medicare.

There is a lot of crap behind this latest GOP move. They are AFTER MORE THAN THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT. They are instigating a revolution.

This divide and conquer crap is a typical teapublican stunt. I say lets have this out, right now, right here. If the teapublicans don't want grandma to get her social security check - fine but the f16 pilots aren't getting on either. Neither are the NSA agents, or the Border Patrol.

Lets see how that plays in America.

9. Initially That May Be True. But If You Refuse To Fund The Agency That Runs It And They Will Stop.

None of the bills funding various agencies have been passed yet. If you piecemeal funding you can extort the public.

11. But only discretionary funding is not approved right?

This isn't the same as the debt ceiling where we had no funds. I think certain types of funding fall under "mandatory".

Am I mistaken?

But when these TeaPublicans start their oily double dealings it makes me insane. If it weren't for the real human suffering I would say - pull the switch, shut it down, turn out the lights on every part of the national government - then we'd see why NO ONE should ever consider a stunt like this. America knows who's to blame -its the same clowns that always shut down the government when they can't convince the nations their ideas have any value at all.

To hell with them and to hell with the millionaires that back them.
