The Republicans have given us gun control and environmental control through the back door during the duration of the shut down: 1) no gun permits will be issued. 2) no gas and oil permits will be issued.
I'm guessing Boner didn't think this through while gazing into his glass of Merlot.

who was reporting a list of the shut downs and they were among them. I would post a link but can't on this mobile device. However, their website puts up video of their entire show every day and transcripts later on.

Not for gun purchasers or for guns themselves. The federal background check system is funded and continues to operate.
