The Repub call for conference meeting is manipulative political game.

So long as they have the ACA on the table, there is nothing to negotiate. They could not achieve their goal of repealing Obamacare with the last election, so they decided to try a different tactic - they would threaten to shut down the government and surely the President would fold. But it didn't happen as they planned.

So now, they pretend they are calling for something different by calling for a conference between the two Parties. However, nothing has changed. They cannot give up their obsession with delaying or repealing Obamacare. It is a waste of time until they come to that realization.

and have turned down numerous conference requests from the Senate. The Tea Party faction felt they didn't have enough "leverage" in normal negotiations, so they waited until they could threaten a government shut-down. I guess they weren't brought up with the notion of "majority rule."
