Both the President and Harry showed great fortitude yesterday ... but

Yesterday I was proud to be a Democrat. Both my President and the my Senate Majority Leader stood their ground in doing the right thing for the people of this country. But as I watched it I tried to imagine how much this country would be improved today if they had shown the same fortitude for the last five years. Maybe now that they have see what it feels like to stand up to Republicans they might want to do it more often.

I'm the first to criticize when they cave, but on the occassions that they do show fortitude and strength then I will give them their rightful praise and my respect.

I'm hopeful this means they've finally realized what and who they are dealing with. I do wish they had realized this when the rest of us did and before so much was given away and so much harm already done.
