(14,061 posts)He was riffing on the theme that in a year corporations will be dropping health insurance because of Obamacare. Earth to Joe: Obamacare is merely the convenient EXCUSE they have needed to do something in one fell swoop that they have been doing piecemeal for YEARS.
Oh...and did I hear him more or less admit that this whole fiasco is nothing more than fun and games to the GOP, but panic will truly set in when the debt crisis hits on the 15th? Political theater, fucking with people's lives. Assholes.

(28,762 posts)ties a person down to a low wage dead end job because of fear of losing health insurance. Employers would just have to pay better wages to retain employees, and that would be great!
Always hated having insurance tied to employers. How many people were trapped in their jobs, unable to, say, start their own business, retire before 65 (back when that was even possible) or even change jobs--if the new employer didn't offer health insurance, and you had a pre-existing condition, you were screwed!
I'd prefer it if employers were out of the mix. Not to mention insurers, but that's another step.

(70,703 posts)I dropped out of watching this thing in mid-2012, incredibly, went back to sLimus who now seems rational in comparison. But I thought the TeaBagger event would be something I wanted to see being reacted to on the Schmo circus. What did the coverage come down to --- Schmo beating down the woman. Am sending this to them through their e-mail form.
ON EDIT: Well, had to use the general e-addy, msnbctvinfo@nbcuni.com, couldn't find the e-form that used to be on their page.

(17,181 posts)They waxed poetic over the great relationship Tip and St. Reagan had, and that was about it. Damn. I wish these guys wouldn't take their meds so early in the morning.
