Ex-spy refuses to discuss Snowden proposal

5:29am October 1, 2013

Chapman sat down for an interview with NBC to promote her new TV show, but things went awry when she was pressed about her tweet in July, which read: "Snowden, will you marry me?!".

Chapman became a celebrity in Russia after her arrest in New York in 2010 and appeared in sultry photo shoots and on catwalks in Moscow, despite insisting she wanted to keep her privacy.

"I'm not going to discuss this," Chapman said when pressed by NBC's Richard Engel about her proposal to Snowden, who lived at a Moscow airport for more than five weeks before Russia granted him a year's asylum on August 1 ...

"I don't believe that people would be interested in knowing about somebody's life."

....(or doesn't think it's important) to know about the life of a person to whom she would propose marriage.

But that's OK. The USA also has a number of people who do outrageous things just to remain in the public eye.
