Republicans act like it's a frigging game!

Laughing and joking at the awesome responsibility of running our government.

Our government that Americans have sacrificed, sometimes with their lives, to keep it running for the benefit of us all.

It is sad and sickening to see such disrespect from those that are elected to serve in our US Congress.

It is not a game! Our government is about our lives, our children's lives, and how to make our country better and how to make our citizens lives better.

It is not a time to drink and joke. It is a time for serious reflection. Our country and our people deserve better.

Sometimes I wonder if we really do deserve better than what we have now. I think our ranking for informed and involved citizenry must be fairly low amongst nations. Perhaps the current state is simply a reflection of that.

FUCK the fucking tea party.
It's like the Mad Hatter is running the show.
It is ridiculous, and a dangerous place for our country to be. How do we really look to the rest of the world? How can we hold out our model of democracy when the stupidity is so overflowing in the House? They have no consideration for their fellow Americans, or even their own staff, who are now not to receive any pay along with 800,000 other federal workers.
Is the FDA still active? Here, have a hamburger.

kentuck, you are so right.
