Sometimes I wonder if we really do deserve better than what we have now. I think our ranking for informed and involved citizenry must be fairly low amongst nations. Perhaps the current state is simply a reflection of that.

They have no consideration for their fellow Americans, or even their own staff, who are now not to receive any pay along with 800,000 other federal workers.
