I need some advice

I have a 2004 Maxda RX-8 with a rotary engine which is about to become a collector's item.

It's in perfect mechanical condition, which isn't difficult if you know about the rotary engine. As long as you keep up with the oil.

Anyway, I am tired of the "high performance" charges, such as $200. for a replacement fog-light bulb + $300 for the Labor because it's "special".

I am a divorced man who is in his fifties. I don't need a mid-life crisis car. Been there, done that. I probably should get a pick-up truck, but I drive a long way way to work and need better gas mileage.

Any ideas?

I've had several great sell experiences with hem...no haggle , no need for trade in.

I loved that car

Having said that I was in a honda dealership the other day and say honda civic hybrids for sale in the low 20k range. Not sure what maintenance will run on them but my jaw dropped at the price tag. low 20k for a car that gets 40 mpg seems like a crazy good deal to me.

My current vehicle is paid for and still runs great so I am not yet in the market but man that price tag made me think about it.

I've got a 2001 s70 and 2011 s60 with 200,000 miles between the two cars. Not a single major mechanical failure in that whole time.

The s60 is fun but the mileage isn't anything to write home about. Seriously; those cars are bullet proof and really cheap to maintain.
