By Republicans voting to delay the ACA


They are voting to continue bankruptcies based on healthcare costs.
They are voting for insurance companies being able to raise your rates and/or drop you altogether based on your health condition.

The ACA covers these.

Republicans are a wicked bunch.

At least from the way I understand it, they want to delay the individual mandate. My understanding is that would still allow people to buy coverage, and allow other ACA changes, but there would be no financial penalty for one year for not buying insurance.

If that's true, that really isn't a bad thing, but both sides are locked into a game of chicken, and nobody wants to flinch first.

The mandate is the key component. The ACA won't function without it. Kill the mandate and it kills the ACA.
