Sometimes you just have to let the toddler throw their tantrum.

Watching the government shutdown countdown, and a part of me wonders, especially if Dems hold firm, if this might be the thing that finally breaks the tea party "I want it now!" fever. I don't want a shutdown, but better Dems and "reasonable republicans" let the teapartiers get it out of their system now and learn it won't work than doing this on the debt limit, which could potentially be even more damaging to the economy.

Just my 2 cents.

Those bastards will then be buried under an avalanche of mail from outraged constituents and my guess is that keeping their cushy jobs with maximum access to insider stock deals will be more important than the ridiculous ideology that got them their seats.

Just a guess, of course.

Though I advocate single-payer, the ACA is still an improvement. People WILL benefit from it, and they will (I hope!) remember the fools who tried to take it away from them.

I like to think repubs know this is their last chance. That's why they are throwing things like Keystone into their demands. They KNOW that after a year of so-called Obamacare, they will lose their supporters, and thus lose any ability to enact their mad ideas.

They're not afraid Obamacare will fail. They're afraid it will be a success, and that once people get used to it, it'll be impossible to get rid of.

Not to mention that all the lies they have been spreading about Obamcare will be proved for what they are, nothing but LIES! When the public finds out they like Obamacare, and that republicans have been lying about it for years now, it won't be good for republicans, and they KNOW that!

And those voters will blame their crappy health care on, you guessed it, Obamacare!

I'm sure we'll still have ass-heads in congress after 2014, but they will be represented by volume, not quantity
