"If the Government Shuts Down...."

I have been hearing that all day

We are in the process of getting my son tested to see if he is ADHD and the DR told me "If the Government shuts down the Clinic will be closed"

I just checked my email two of the companies I teach Zumba for have sent me the dreaded "If the Government shuts down the building will be closed" emails
I have one more Zumba class I teach in a Government Building I have not heard from them yet.

Also, I will not get paid for the work I did last month uggghh So that means the Shut down started 9/1/13 for me ughhhh

Many times my Zumba gig money is what carries us through to the next month

How will it personally effect you?

We've been told to report for 4 hours on Tuesday in order to accomplish the paperwork for furloughs. After that I'll go sit at home until told to report back. Hopefully that will be soon.

I hate to leave it, and love the idea of sharing.

I spend long weekends there, have to be closer to town several days, but when there, I sit looking at the river, creek, sunsets, moon through bedroom window. Its an old cottage, signed lease in August, and can't believe it!!!

Posted craigslist ad while it was up, was taken down in August, and don't have good enough camera to post any yet, but working on it.

Daughter lives nearby and loves it, and older daughter, expecting in December (but lives in NJ; cottage in MD,) looking forward to visiting AND bring baby boy to play!

I am just over the river

My DH and I are considering a plan to retire on a boat in 8 years
Nothing fancy it has to have 2 heads two berths, a 3 burning stove, and an Apartment size fridge
b/w a 38ft - 45ft

We will be at the Annapolis boat show this weekend, just to get a feel for what size boat would be a comfortable fit for us. I know Fort Washington has a few Marinas with Live Aboard Status.

You are welcome to sail with us in the future!

I told my DH I was willing to stay in a Yurt next summer.
I am very intrigued by the tiny house movement
I watch all the youtube video's that get posted. So now I have decided to try living in a yurt for a week. I can't wait to Ditch our Mortgage and just live in a place we can take where ever there is water.

I decided the only thing from the land I want to keep is my leather couches I got off Craigslist last year everything else can go.
I am also trying to learn how to grow an Aquaponic Garden
so far I have killed everthing but one fish. I CAN DO THIS!!

Sorry rambling!

and great thoughts!

Cottage is larger than I've had for quite a while, didn't intend to grow out, but circumstances led me here, and the water is so MOVING!

HOPE to grow roses, but I understand the deer like them too, so will see.

A very talented photographer in the 'neighborhood!' When I can afford it, I'd like to acquire one of his pics, and hang it in the cottage.

It stinks. I am on SSD and Medicare supposedly they are going to still pay those so I guess for right now it may not affect me.

Though I heard if the debt ceiling is not raised then even Medicare and SS payments may be delayed.
