If you want to stop non-religious hospitals (legitimate healthcare facilities) from being taken over by religious ones -->

Sorry, but I really miss that hospital. It served this community beautifully and I curse everyone involved with its destruction.

Are these hospitals taxed? Or, are they treated as religious insititutions?

The local Catholic hospital here was given a property tax bill by the county. The hospital asked when the county would pay the (10 x larger) bill for indigent health care. The county retracted the tax bill and did not pay what they owed.
