Worst Apology EVER!

"With reference to remarks made yesterday to an Italian radio program, I apologize if my words have generated controversy or misunderstanding, or if they hurt someone's sensitivity," Guido Barilla said in a statement. "In the interview I simply wished to underline the central role the woman plays within the family."

I'm a straight, white female that will no longer buy Barilla. A brand that I have been loyal to for over 7 years (probably close to 10).

I already know my 'role' within my family. I don't need a spaghetti company to educate me. My LGBT friends also know their 'roles'. Funny shit...their roles aren't much different than mine. In fact, I believe they eat pasta and feed it to their families. How weird is that?

8. He would have been better off issuing no apology at all.

This was one of those "Fuck you, I meant what I said" apologies that he only issued as damage control. Since it was obviously insincere, there is only a possibility of making things worse, not better.
