Oh well, concerning the TPP

I just received a reply from my senator about the letter I sent him concerning the TransPacificPartnership and he assures me that it only levels the playing field for American workers and promotes American economic growth. He did not even approach the secrecy it was being discussed in.

Gaud, for some reason you guys had me worried for a few minutes.

I wish I had some really enlightening comment to make regarding TPP. I hope somehow it is stopped, but I am numb from watching right-wing policies being quietly shepherded through almost below the radar. It seems the 1% and corporate money has gotten sufficient traction that it may be impossible to reverse the rightward trend.

American labor will be on a level playing field with workers in Malaysia, Vietnam, Chile and maybe even China!

Your Senator and President Obama echo the language used by Bill Clinton when he described NAFTA. How we'd "compete and win" in the global economy which meant decimating union jobs and American manufacturing.

Hopefully the public has been kicked in the nuts long enough to catch a clue and rally against fast track authority.
