23. How about $83.65 per hour

$83.65/hr. That's how much a $174,000 Congress Critter salary works out to at 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year; just for comparison mind you.

/Of course, they don't work a 40 hour week or a 52 week year.

Writing descriptions that include keywords helps your image/graphic get much greater visibility in the search engines.

No overtime allowed, straight 40 hours a week. It's just me and my teenage son as well. After everything out of my check I take home $2500 a month, can't really save anything.

I was making $17 an hour ten years ago and it feels like I have about the same standard of living.

Especially for 2-income families. But many of those peeps are not making that kind of money now even with 2 adults working.

This thread needs this video, too. It's a 6.5 minute video - a little long, but worth it. It's amazing what people think wealth distribution is, compared to what it actually is.

Back in 2004, that $28.34 stat was just barely $23.00. So if minimum wage had to go up $5 to keep up, can you imagine how much CEO pay is now?

I have read about this study (or one similar) about what people think wealth distribution is versus what it actually is but had never seen this particular video. It's very well done and I will pass it on. Definitely a good addition to this thread!

They bring up all the lies and bullshit from the Republicans.
...and in a few cases (after trying to have a nice discussion...and failing) , I just say "You fucking dumb-asses are going to kill us all"

The GOP has been beating that same old anti-labor drum for generations now.
Damn shame how people want to listen to this bullshit rather than the truth.
