The other night we were watching the news and I asked her have you ever seen a republican medal of honor winner?

She said " They have to serve first".

btw, the term is 'Medal of Honor recipient,' not 'winner.' The objection is that that honor is cannnot be said to be "won," like a lottery or a door prize (and many sacrifice their lives in earning it, with the Medal being awarded posthumously).
