It pretty much means people have to be more responsible.

I am up for more responsibility and maturity when it comes to handling guns.
This involves, training, storage and registration.

Besides, this way, it definitely ensures a draftable militia that would have some training if that is ever needed.

It's my auto insurance that pays the claim, not my health insurance.

If there were a similar provision for gun related injuries, you could get even more support from companies looking to shift costs.

And you might lower total premiums for non gun owners who don't need to buy a gun "rider".
