So now we need to strip the stupid Obamacare defund plan and instead, strip funding for Department of Defense and use it to fund free education and health care for every single American, paid for by the wealthiest 5%.

Now the hard part that could go on for a long time.... although Reid wants to expedite.
Usually (I think) they have an hour of debate for each side and then the amendments and then the series of votes on the amendments and on and on...

The Senate unanimously passed a cloture vote to limit the debate on the motion to proceed to debate on the Continuing Resolution. Senators now have 30 hours of debate on the measure to fund the federal government at current sequester levels of $986.3 billion through December 15 and to defund the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
