Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio isn't just a full-fledged birther nor is he merely a Latino-hating gunslinger. He was also the honorary co-chairman of Mitt Romney's 2008 campaign.
All indications are that Mitt Romney tried to get Sheriff Arpaio-Taitz to sign on again with his campaign for 2012. But I'll bet if you asked him about it now, he'd deny ever having known the guy.
