was doing the corporate life, Pharma company thing....it was always about money with them (as in "I've got mine, screw everyone else)...lots of cognitive dissonance, actually.
Thankfully I am long gone from that career and life now!

(Although flippancy aside, 'Republican' is not necessarily synonymous with 'anti-science tea-bagger.' And scientists can be as morally-intrusive, selfish, and war-mongering as any other human. The 6% actually seems low to me; I'd have guessed higher...)
