loyalty to the administration isn't the point...loyalty to the cause IS.
The only way we can do what we need to do in 2014(that is, bring down the Boehnerhaus and restore something like workable governance to this country)is to build a people's electoral movement from below.
It means getting our grassroots fight on again.
It means mobilizing the broad coalition of the 99%, the outsiders, the dispossesed, those who feel powerless and hopeless, and giving them candidates and a program they can believe in...or backing the candidates and platforms they themselves produce, since our leaders no longer know or care how to campaign anymore.
It means long hours in the neighborhoods, at the registrar's table, running efforts to make sure people have the id's the racists and classists are trying to make them show(and standing up to the poll-station bullies who are treating the majority like criminals for TRYING to vote).
It means, in the primaries, ignoring the insistence of the DCCC and the DSCC on trying to impose their "preferred" candidates-we can assume nobody either of those institutions would want nominated stands for anything. We'd work for their candidates in the fall(even though you can assume a multimillionaire business type, like those groups are obsessed with drafting, wouldn't give a crap about the people)but only as a last resort and without conceding defeat on our issues.
And it means fighting like hell to try to take back the state legislatures and the local governments the knuckledragger/bazillionaire coalition stole in 2010 and 2012.
It will take all of that, and more.
It's ALL on us, the fighters from below. Are y'all up for the battle?
